The Charkritians: A proud desert-dwelling people of Chi'Hamak settling into urban life after centuries of nomadic wandering, the Charkritians are resilient, reserved, and enjoy a good pint. They revere their dead ancestors, occasionally using mystics to call upon the spirits for otherworldly protection in times of need, though The Pandemic has reduced the amount of mystics still among the living. They are a democratic people, opposed to the expansions of the Bokaran's Stellar Corporation and the raiding done by their Shendolin allies. Charkritians are closely aligned with the Fringer Clans of northern Chi'Hamak.

The Fringer Clans: The northern temperate regions of Chi'Hamak are home to the smaller, fiercely independent Fringer Clans. Living within dense forests of giant trees, the Fringers are rough and solitary folk, yet make ready and steadfast friends. Over the centuries, they have been steadily losing territories to the Shendolin, a subject quick to make any Fringer's blood boil. More recently, the appearance of the Stellar Corporation on the planet at the invitation of the Shendolin has made things somewhat worse for the Fringer Clans, who are now shoring up their borders against Shendolin incursions in the west, and Stellar Corporation territorial claims in the east.

The Stellar Corporation (Bokarans): A large interstellar corporation made from the entire population of the Bokarans, the Stellar Corporation is an example of corporation as government. While the road to this point was paved in good intentions and meant to fix a government headed for dictatorship, the Stellar Corporation now struggles with the choices its power presents it, as it finds itself embroiled in an increasingly contentious struggle for land it was promised and paid for from the Shendolin in order to fund a war of protection against the Sveth Warlords and Draganon Pirates.

The Shendolin: An NPC faction. The Shendolin are a humanoid species with a nihilistic attitude towards life, and very crude in manner and speech. They are known to worship death, and call on spirits using an unknown necromantic school of magic. In recent years, they have invited the Stellar Corporation to use lands they they hold (claimed by the Fringer Clans) for commercial purposes in exchange for the security of these lands, as well as the delivery of the Bokaran's advanced technology, which they use to advance themselves. A very closed society, even the Stellar Corporation finds themselves wary of the Shendolin.

Contested Areas: These areas, old and wild, or constantly changing hands, are sources of neverending conflict for those adventurous souls who wish to venture there...
