The School of the Nine-Pointed Star

Location: Multiple (Chi’Hamak, among others).

Brief: The Nine-Pointed Star is a school for unarmed combat. The “nine points” referred to in the name represents the hands, elbows, knees, feet, and head, which are all used in this basic fighting art. Students of this art learn to punch, kick, elbow, knee, and headbutt, as well as some simple grappling techniques. The lower levels of this are sufficient for streetfighters, though higher levels would be needed for the contests fought regularly throughout the Blue Patch. There is no magic involved, and the training consists of looking for trouble more often than not. This is a good starting point for many fighters who move on to other fighting styles that are more specialized. No special rites or customs are required here except for the ritual transaction of funds to pay for the classes.

Prerequisites: Money for lessons, ability to take a punch without crumbling into dust (optional).
