Let’s face it. The moment you create your character in most MMOs, its destiny is set in stone, with no way to change it other than deletion, the creation of a separate character, or spending money or gold. It doesn’t have to be this way…

Epic Frontiers introduces a much more flexible way of playing your character. A way in which you can define your character’s abilities to be as narrowly focused or as broadly-based as your tastes dictate, with the only limitation to progress being the amount of time you spend focusing on any given ability.

Our character development system is simple: Every ability you learn increases in level as you use it successfully. Want to be a fighter? Go use your fighting abilities against opponents. Want to be a master crafter? Go use your crafting abilities. A spy? Thief? Politician? Use those skills, and they will get better. And once you have reached a point where you no longer wish to push one set of abilities to the next level, you can go learn new abilities from the many teachers throughout the game, and then refine them as well, broadening your character’s abilities and changing it’s direction without having to create a new character (although you can do that if you want to).

And in addition to the free-form skill-based advancement system, you’ll also have the full complement of character customization options available to you at the time of your character’s creation for size, hairstyle, skintone, eye color, etc. But what’s more, you’ll be able to add tattoos, change hair styles and colors, and add and remove makeup- and even disguises! A world without variety would be a dull one, and we will continue to present an ever greater palette to work with in character customization in Epic Frontiers.
